FAQ
Can I edit the link after publishing it?
The link itself (the destination address) cannot be changed after publishing. If you're registered, you can delete your link early or extend its lifetime with the "Bump" button in your account.
Can I change the keyword?
No, the keyword is set once when you publish the link. If you need a different keyword, delete the link (if you're signed in) and publish it again with a new one.
Can several links share the same keyword?
Yes. The same keyword can be used by several links at once — the recipient will see them as a list and pick the right one.
Is there a limit on the number of links?
There's currently no limit on the total number of links you can publish. There is spam protection, though — you can't publish links too rapidly one after another.
What happens when a link expires?
The link is automatically deleted and can no longer be found by its keyword. Opening an expired link (for example, from an old bookmark) shows a "Link expired" page instead of the link itself.
Do I need to register?
No, you can publish and search for links without registering. An account is only needed if you want to see a list of your own links, delete them early, or extend their lifetime.
Is it free to use?
Yes, the service is currently completely free: publishing, searching, and extending a link cost nothing. Some paid features for businesses may be added in the future, but the core functionality will remain free.
What's the difference between "Secret" and "Public" search?
A Secret link is only found by entering the exact keyword — it won't show up for similar phrases and isn't included in public search. A Public link can still be found even with a typo or an imprecise memory of the keyword.
Is it safe to open a link I received?
Before you're taken to the destination, the service shows a page describing the link and a warning that it isn't responsible for the content of external sites. Treat these links with the same caution as any other link on the internet.
What if the recipient can't find the link by keyword?
Check that the keyword was typed without mistakes — this matters especially for Secret links, which require an exact match. Also make sure the link hasn't expired yet.
